The International Council of Indigenous Wisdom Keepers of the Four Directions has a commitment to collaborate and weave the well-being of Indigenous Nations and awaken humanity through restoring the sacred relationship with the natural order and laws of our Mother Earth and Cosmos. For this year’s sacred meeting it will be in the territory of the Arhuaca community, Santa Marta - Colombia. The meeting place was chosen by the consultation and direction of the spirit and ancestors through Mamo Jwikaringgumu from the Arhuaca community and member of the International Council of Indigenous Wisdom Keepers. This year the Council of Indigenous Wisdom Keepers of the World will gather to ignite the sacred fire, symbolizing the resurgence of Indigenous Peoples and for the revitalization of indigenous cultures across the globe. This gathering aims to foster connections among diverse communities, promoting understanding and collaboration. By sharing ancestral knowledge and wisdom, the council seeks to pave a path toward collective healing, reconciliation and cooperation, embracing the profound indigenous knowledge, fosters a deeper understanding and respect among all people, creating pathways for collaboration that prioritize the well-being of all life on earth and the evolution of humanity. This effort requires a collective commitment to listen, learn, and share, valuing the unique perspectives and knowledge that indigenous cultures offer. Through this inclusive approach, we can address global challenges more effectively, ensuring a positive future for all.

Transmission of the sacred Knowledge to the Younger Generation

One of our primary focuses for this year's gathering is to create a space where youth can learn from the world’s Indigenous elders and knowledge keepers. This exchange is crucial for transmitting knowledge and wisdom, awakening and inspiring younger generations to take on their path to leadership. We recognize that the youth are the seeds of our future, and by nourishing them with Universal values, possibilities and insights, we can ensure that valuable knowledge is preserved and adapted to shape a future that embodies a good way of life for all, empowering the youth to create a positive impact in their communities and the World.

Building Bridges of collaboration to face the challenges of today’s world

In an era where the challenges we face are increasingly complex and interconnected, the need to create a bridge between ancient wisdom with modern science has never been more pressing. By aligning the past, present, and future, we can harness the profound organic knowledge and sacred indigenous wisdom that has guided humanity for centuries. To make this sacred gathering possible, funds are needed that will greatly help with logistics such as the cost of travel for the elders and knowledge keepers, food and other expenses necessary for the four days event
